Millennium Consulting Founder & CEO John Dowless was quoted in an Orlando Sentinel article titled “GOP taking aim at Bill Nelson, the last Democrat standing.”
In the article, John offered his perspective on the field of candidates running against Florida’s senior U.S. senator Bill Nelson, who has been in office since 2000. The GOP field includes George LeMieux and Mike Haridopolos, Vern Buchanan, Connie Mack, and Tom Rooney.
“I think it all depends upon the situation of the economy,” said John Dowless, a Republican consultant who helped former U.S. Sen. Mel Martinez win his seat in 2004. “If things are relatively the same, he’s in big, big trouble. If things improve dramatically, then it’s OK. If things are in between, then a lot will hinge on his opponent.”
